Resources for Climate Action

About these Resources

These resources have been put together by the budding Network for Climate Action. This network brings together lots of local groups and individuals who are all in many different ways combatting the root causes of climate change. It has grown out of the amazing Camp for Climate Action held in 2006 near Drax power station with hundreds of workshops, sustainable living and non-violent direct action. Read more about us.

The resources includes most of the Toolkit for Climate Action, available from us on a DVD. The toolkit is for anyone who wants to take action on climate change. It's packed with resources, graphics and materials from a wide range of sources such as Rising Tide, Seeds for Change, Schnews, Peace News, local climate groups, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, Activist Legal Project, Camp for Climate Action, Plane Stupid, Free Range Activist Website, Climate Camp Writers Bloc, Lancaster Climate Action, Radical Routes, Plan B, Low Impact Living Initiative, Bicycology, Earth First!, Time's Up and many more.

There are lots of documents, graphics, videos and sound files in this section. Most of the documents are available in different formats so that you can edit them if you need to.

Printing: Almost every document is available as a PDF. This is the best format to use if you just want to print something out.

Editing and Changing: If you'd like to edit a document (for example to add in your group's contact details) then there are various other formats - DOC which most word processors can deal with and ODT which is the Open Document Format which almost all word processors (except MS Word) can open. Most of the documents on this DVD have been prepared using OpenOffice.org so it's probably best to use the PDF or ODT versions of documents.

We've included links to Free Software that may be useful. Have a look here for more information. If your computer runs Linux or MacOS X then you should have no problems with any of the files on this site.

Distribution

All the resources in this section are also either anti-copyright or copylefted - please feel free to copy them and pass them on to your friends.

Any donations will be used to pay for the website and to print further copies of the DVD. If you'd like to make a donation or would like a copy of the Toolkit on DVD then contact us and we'll post it to you.
